DetailsWoven bands of metallic abstract pieces with a molten texture. I started this piece in 2019, using wood glue on mylar to create the indented areas then sprinkling the glue with sifted dirt for texture. I removed the glue and dirt and was left with an organic pattern of shiny areas and rough texture. I made a preliminary mold of the flat piece, then attached it to a frame so the thin mold could be stretched, giving a double curved convex positive. A second mold with sides gave me the individual section. I cast each section then attach them all together. Each section measures about 4 1/2" x 9".
I can create many combinations, both symmetrical and asymmetrical. Variations include rectangular shape, overlap, and open center. To give you the size and shape you are looking for it is best that we discuss by message or phone. 415 482-6082. -
